Family & Community Health Services Division

The goal of EIPH's Family and Community Health Services Division is to help maintain the health of families and the community through assessment, health promotion, education, and referrals in cooperation with other District divisions and community partners. The following services/programs are offered through Eastern Idaho Public Health's Family and Community Health Services Division:

Children's Special Health Program
Idaho children with certain medical conditions who do not qualify for Medicaid and who are not covered by private health insurance are eligible for Eastern Idaho Public Health's Children's Special Health Services (CSHP) program.

HIV Program
Eastern Idaho Public Health offers confidential HIV testing, prevention education, as well as case management services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS.

Infant/Toddler Program

Immunization Program
Eastern Idaho Public Health offers immunization services for children, adults, and foreign travel.

Parents as Teachers
A parent is a child's first and most important teacher. This FREE program is designed to provide parents with information and to help build their children's intellectual, language, social, and physical development from birth to age three.

Pregnancy Services
While prenatal care IS NOT available at Health District clinics, we can assist women with pregnancy testing and counseling, along with needed referrals within the community.

Reproductive Health Services
We offer male and female exams, pregnancy testing, problem visits, STI screenings, and birth control.

School Nursing Services
Health district nurses, dental hygienist, or health educators provide education, health screenings and technical advice to children and teachers in contracting school districts.

Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Services
Diagnosis, treatment, and referral services for sexually transmitted infections are available at health district clinics.

Teen Clinic
At this walk-in clinic, teens can obtain accurate information concerning today's hottest topics.

Vital Statistics
Applications for mail-in requests for certified copies of vital records can be obtained in any health district office.

Women's Health Check
Our Women's Health Check (WHC) Program provides breast and cervical cancer screening for uninsured women with limited family income and no other resources for these services.
