Are You Ready to Quit Using Tobacco?

Quitting tobacco is hard, but it is not impossible. We provide FREE and Informative Support Groups to help you quit tobacco for good. These support groups can be held as a one-on-one approach or as a group session– whichever makes the most sense for you. During these sessions, you will:

  • Become informed on the harms and consequences associated with nicotine and smoking.
  • Understand the benefits of being smoke-free.
  • Develop a personalized quit plan
  • Learn stress management techniques and how to deal with withdrawal symptoms.
  • Obtain information on the benefits of nicotine replacement therapy.
  • Receive FREE nicotine replacement therapy such as the gum, patches, or lozenges.
  • Have support from American Lung Association certified instructors who will  help you through the quit process.

Help to quit smoking is now just a phone call away. The Idaho QuitLine is a FREE telephone counseling service designed to help smokers quit. This confidential service connects tobacco users with trained counselors who guide and support them through the process of becoming tobacco-free.

This service is available 24-7, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

QuitNow is a FREE internet service that can help you quit smoking. It offers expert advice on quitting, online support from other smokers who are trying to quit, and information about medications that may make quitting easier. QuitNow is available 24-7.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) products such as the gum, patches, and lozenges, are available at no cost to individuals who enroll in either the phone-based tobacco cessation counselling with the Idaho QuitLIne, the web-based counselling through the Idaho QuitNow program, or the tobacco cessation support groups offered through Eastern Idaho Public Health’s Tobacco Cessation Program. You must be 18 years or older to qualify.

Idaho Medicaid Preventive Health Assistance (PHA)


Eligible individuals can earn PHA vouchers to help pay for tobacco cessation products such as Chantix at participating vendors or PHA vouchers toward weigh management program fees at participating gyms.
