EIPH Announces Early Spring Fluoride Varnish Clinics

Tooth decay is the most common chronic disease seen in children.
Fluoride varnish helps prevent cavities by making the outer layer of
teeth (enamel) harder and more resistant to decay. Eastern Idaho
Public Health offers fluoride varnish at no cost to families.

for more information and dates for our upcoming fluoride varnish clinics.

No Cost HPV Vaccine Available in February

Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is a group of viruses linked
to multiple health conditions, including six different types of cancer. HPV is a very common virus; nearly 80 million people—about one in four—are currently infected in the United States.

Fortunately, there is a vaccine available to prevent HPV infection. As cancer prevention advocates and as a part of the state-wide HPV Vaccination Campaign 2020, we will be holding no cost HPV vaccine clinics during the month of February.

Community ActionPartnership, the United Way of Idaho Falls and Bonneville County, and VOICE Advocacy to conduct a community needs assessment in Eastern Idaho which covered Bonneville, Butte, Clark, Custer, Fremont, Jefferson, Lemhi, Madison, and Teton Counties. Information gathered through this process will be used by EIPH's Board of Health and Administration to help us better target education, resources, and service delivery as much as possible in an effort to improve health and quality of life of residents in our region.
